This site is primarily a supplement to my PhD thesis, and my attempt at trying to organize what I've learnt throughout my education. It may also contain previous research and interesting bits tidbits.
# Thesis topic
My PhD is a continuation of work started in 2014 when the University of Oslo started the process of upgrading the electronics for their multi-Needle Langmuir Probe ([[site/nomenclature|m-NLP]]) from a multi-PCB and IC creating a System on Chip ([[site/nomenclature|SoC]]). I took over the project to test the second generation of chip, and now I am in the process of developing the third generation. All chips have used high voltage 180 nm [XFAB technology](https://www.xfab.com/technology/#c2997).
> [!important] I have a tapeout deadline coming up, so this project is put on hold for now.
%%Due to the slow nature of chip development, my funding ran out on my PhD before the work did. Therefore, I had to find full-time employment while also continuing my research. Im currently developing payloads for satellites.
